Do any of you know the encoding of the Microsoft Streets & Trips 200x
"EST" file format in enough resolution for me to write a GPSBabel
backend for it?
In the absence of this, do any of you know of a way to spray a bunch
of waypoints into S&T and have them all automatically added to a route
(I don't mind running 'optimize stops' later) without manually clicking
on every pushpin?

In lieu of a byte-by-byte description, I'd be interested in teaming up with
someone to figure this out. I've sat down with s&t 2002/2003 it for a short
period of time 3-4 times and only managed to confuse myself even more.
I lose interest quick do to lack of motivation. :)
One thing I did notice, but haven't looked into much... .EST files for S&T
2001 are much less complicated than 2002/2003. I've never checked if
newer versions will load the older files, but if I had to do it from scratch,
I'd probably start there. My only interest in getting points in, however,
would be to be able to set the pin/icon types. Those little black marker
pins are annoying.

In the online help, I think I recall seeing a way to set pushpin color
and even provide a bmp that could be used in place of the pin.
I even remember thinking it might be cute to provide icons that matched
those on geocaching.com for cache container types and then rolled my
eyes with a combination of "too cute" and "what if those icons are
copyrighted" and decided to find other ways to entertain myself.
