There's not a great 1:1 mapping between the fields and we don't allow
you to easily remap them.  (Well, you have the source, so you have the
ultimate control...)

If you want finer control, Garmin's POI Loader offers more options, IIRC.

Hello,

I am looking for a way to use some of the attributes my garmin nüvi
760 is capable of using.

I would like to covert something like this into a gpi.

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no" ?>
<gpx xmlns="http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1" creator="RoadTrip
2.0.1" version="1.1" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance
" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1 http://www.topografix.com/GPX/1/1/gpx.xsd
">

 <metadata>
   <link href="http://www.garmin.com">
     <text>Garmin International</text>
   </link>
   <time>2009-01-21T15:16:35Z</time>
   <bounds maxlat="44.3987400" maxlon="2.7300130" minlat="44.3987400"
minlon="2.7300130"/>
 </metadata>

 <wpt lat="44.3987400" lon="2.7300130">
   <name>Eddie's House1</name>
   <cmt>Eddie's House</cmt>
   <desc>Eddie's House</desc>
   <sym>Flag, Blue</sym>
   <extensions>
     <gpxx:WaypointExtension xmlns:gpxx="http://www.garmin.com/xmlschemas/GpxExtensions/v3
">
       <gpxx:DisplayMode>SymbolAndName</gpxx:DisplayMode>
       <gpxx:Address>
         <gpxx:StreetAddress>14 Short Street</gpxx:StreetAddress>
         <gpxx:City>Finecaster</gpxx:City>
         <gpxx:State>Rorkshire</gpxx:State>
         <gpxx:Country>England</gpxx:Country>
         <gpxx:PostalCode>RK4 4AW</gpxx:PostalCode>
       </gpxx:Address>
       <gpxx:PhoneNumber Category="Phone">(+33)3/22248080</
gpxx:PhoneNumber>
       <gpxx:PhoneNumber Category="Fax">(+33)3/22317596</
gpxx:PhoneNumber>
     </gpxx:WaypointExtension>
   </extensions>
 </wpt>

</gpx>

Even though some of this works, I am not really happy with the way the
address and the phone numbers are handled.
To me it seems that they end up in the wrong fields....

Any ideas?

Thx

Kurt
