HI.

I have a Garmin Etrex connected via serial to Com3:, windows XP Pro, HP Laptop.

My aim is to extract tracking info and convert this to NMEA sentences for importing into another program.

This is how I’m trying to do it –

gpsbabel.exe -p "" -t -i garmin -f com3: -x track,start=20070215000000,stop=20070215235959,fix=3d,course,speed -o nmea -F -

trackfilter-init: Found track point without time!

At present I’m only trying to output to screen to see what sort of results I would get, and only a single days tracking. It fails with the above error.

I’ve also tried ;

gpsbabel.exe -p "" -t -i garmin -f com3: -x track,start=20070215000000,stop=20070215235959,fix=3d,course,speed -o nmea,date="16,085" -F -

trackfilter-init: Found track point without time!

Same result,

Also have tried different days,

Using Waypoint+ I have been able to extract and save the tracking data, however not been able to find a compatible data format between the programs to get to the resulting NMEA sentences I’m after.

Obviously there is some sort of error in the data stored in the Etrex that is upsetting GPSBabel ??

Ideas anyone?

Cheers,
