Thanks for the input. "gprename /home/<username>" does work on OpenSuse Tumbleweed (rolling release). On both Debian stable and OpenSuse Leap ('stable') I had no problem at all. Solution for Tumbleweed: - After successfully using "gprename /home/<username>" just once, gprename can now successfuly be started on OpenSuse Tumbleweed without any parameters. Today, I first tried starting gprename w/o any parameters but got the same error message again.
