So the gprename-devel list will be deleted soon https://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1557362&group_id=1&atid=200001 Also the CVS module where wiped out completely. Long live SVN! Let's hope next update will be about porting gprename to GTK2 ;) __________________________________________________________ Lèche-vitrine ou lèche-écran ? magasinage.yahoo.ca |

Thanks for the file, I just included it in SVN You can get it with this command : svn co https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/gprename gprename You will need the Subversion program tough, in gentoo you do "emerge subversion" to install it. I also made a UTF-8 file with this command : iconv -f iso8859-1 -t utf-8 lang.pt-br.ISO-8859-1 > lang.pt-br.UTF-8 The iconv and convmv command are used to switch the content of a file or filename to other encoding. Thanks for the file! And just a little comment about SVN, thanks dermarv for having created the SVN for GPRename, I'm starting to like it more and more, it's really a great tool. --- riv...@uf... a écrit : > Oops, ma faute! > > I forgot to attach the file. Here's the latest updates : 1) I have remove every files in the Modules of the CVS tree of GPRename Now http://gprename.cvs.sourceforge.net/ shows nothing but empty directory, after much search I have found that to remove these Modules you have to ask sourceforge for it, so here is where I ask them : https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=200001&aid=1551416&group_id=1 Since now we are using SVN, we should never use CVS again, as far as I know and I've read, SVN should replace CVS because CVS as a few limitations that SVN replaces. So please, let's all use SVN or CVS but not both! ;) If someone wanted the files from the CVS, they are back up right here on my computer, just ask and I'll send them. 2) I made a few changes to the README files and the languages files on the SVN tree : http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/gprename/ Just added a few things to README in the "To Do" section and converted the languages files to the proper encoding with the iconv command, now if I do file languages/* here is what is shown : lang.en: ASCII English text lang.es.ISO-8859-1: ISO-8859 text lang.es.UTF-8: UTF-8 Unicode text lang.fr.ISO-8859-1: ISO-8859 text lang.fr.UTF-8: UTF-8 Unicode text lang.pl.ISO-8859-2: ISO-8859 text lang.pl.UTF-8: UTF-8 Unicode text lang.zh_TW.Big5: UTF-8 Unicode text lang.zh_TW.UTF-8: ASCII text Now every ISO-8859-1 or UTF-8 is showing proper file description, but do anyone knows why the .pl file is a iso8859-2 instead of iso8859-1 ? If not, then let's just leave it like that, tristesse sure had a good reason for it. There's also the "problem" from the zh files that doesn't show proper file description, but since I have no experience with chinese encoding with Big5, I'll also leave it like that ;) 3) Everyone agrees to remove gprename <gpr...@li...> ? I think it would be best to only use the <gpr...@li...> It's a small program, only one mailing list will be enough. p3.vert.ukl.yahoo.com uncompressed/chunked Fri Sep 1 19:23:30 GMT 2006 __________________________________________________________ Lèche-vitrine ou lèche-écran ? magasinage.yahoo.ca |

Thank you for the help bercine! Marvin : could you add the .deb for the 1.7 version in the download area like I added a .ebuild for Gentoo ? It's at this page : https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=40094&package_id=32230 Also any news on integrating the .deb to the Debian system? As for Gentoo I'm still waiting for a maintener to include it in Gentoo portage tree so people can just type "emerge gprename" in a console to have it, there's too much new package to be added and maintener can't keep up with it! Hello ! GRPrename is exactly what I've been looking for. However I was not able to install it on my Debian system (due to old GTK) and thus would appreciate a *.deb. Nevertheless I translated the language-file to German (attached). Hint: There is spelling error in : lang.en : $str_tips_delete_at_the_end : postion should be position. Have fun! That is just way too cool, it was kind in the TO DO list and I tried to do one but never got around it. :( Tough I've done one for Gentoo which is the distribution I'm using ;) So here's our emails : tri...@us... zu...@us... Read the README file for all the changes : http://gprename.sourceforge.net Help would be appreciated to translate it and to create a Debian package. I've read some documentation on it but I'm missing most tools since I'm on Gentoo. Plus, the documentation is quite large, very time consuming! On the other hand I'm in the process of creating an RPM package, it's almost done, should be out soon. Finally, since I've modified the website, it wasn't XHTML and CSS compliant anymore from W3C but I've fixed that. __________________________________________________________ Lèche-vitrine ou lèche-écran ? magasinage.yahoo.ca |
