Colleagues - For any Macintosh users - this might be handy. I have two Macs: MacBook Pro (13 inch early 2011) 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 16 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 10.11.6 El Capitan It was running Gpredict 1.3 but I updated to 2.2.1 via MacPorts, after I selected the installer for the right OS. It did take a while to download and install dependencies, as always. I am currently updating the OS to Sierra, 10.12.6, and expect that it will work without any changes. The system still controls some sizes of fonts, etc on the windows and Alexandru has said that he has some changes and will work them into a future release. On the small screen - some text is hard to read until you magnify. Mac Mini (late 2012) 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 10.10.5 Yosemite It was running Gpredict 1.3 which I upgraded to 2.2 after selecting the right installer for the OS. Now I had both 1.3 and 2.2 installed and the system claimed to be 1.3 though it showed the 2.2 splash screen! So I thought I’d start fresh, uninstalled both versions and went to install 2.2 - it failed since it could not install all dependencies! Of course I should have just uninstalled 1.3 but too late now. So I tried various installers - no joy. I also tried to install from Homebrew - it seems to be a useful alternative to MacPorts. But it also failed to install during installation of dependencies (which was as slow as the MacPorts installation of course). So I am going to put in more RAM, upgrade to Sierra, and try Homebrew installation of 2.2.1 again. This is just for your information - no replies needed.
