The information comes from the StNOGS database, see https://db.satnogs.org/
Not all satellites are in the database, and not all satellites in the
database have transmitter info.
You can suggest an update to the database or create local files. Note
that the local files will be overwritten when there will be
information in the database.

As for the other questions, I hope somebody else who already uses
windows can help.
