This is a little open source project that WAS built up for Linux that
is not being actively developed. The fact that the very busy author
occasionally answers questions, is a complete bonus.

If you would like to work on those extensions, have at it !

I would *love* to see just a simple hook to start up a shell program to
do *anything* when the sat come into view and pass out of view.

Even just improving rigdtrl would be a big help. It could use some SDR
support ! Maybe allow some commands and feedback so it could do some of
the other things on your list.

Also, a general question. Isn't the program doing a orbital prediction,
not actively tracking ? Tracking means to me watching the sky (somehow)
and following the physical object. You make predictions of the position
in time based on the orbital elements. ie NORAD does the tracking.
