#5 Half D1 NTSC DVD Playback Issue

When trying to play back a half d1 ntsc dvd recorded in
lp mode from a dvd recorder the video plays only on one
half of the screen and the menu shows on the other half
of the screen. The video is half d1 352 x 480. The root
menu of the dvd displays fine just when you start
playing the dvd the video plays on the left hand side
while the right hand side of the menu shows on the right.
