I am using libgphoto2 2.5.1.1 and gphoto2 2.5.1. I am trying to get the shutter count for my EOS M. This is what I get:

OMFORTER:~ daniel$ killall PTPCamera
COMFORTER:~ daniel$ gphoto2 --get-config /main/status/shuttercounter
Label: Camera Status Information

Attached is the log file.

The EOS m series is a new brand (and unrelated commandwise to the EOS series)

we do not know much about it yet. :(

I had the impression that since it is in the list of cameras supported in 2.5.1.1, it has been tested before :)

    Yes, I am able to download pictures.
    
    I realised when I did a gphoto2 --get-config-all, the /main/status/shuttercounter attribute is not one of those available. Perhaps this is the reason.
