What exactly do you want to achieve?

This is the mode where we handle and report events coming from the camera without timeout.
so if you press the shutterbutton on camera, it will download the newly cpature image.

for remote control from the computer, try
    gphoto2 --capture-image-and-download
    insteadhttps://sourceforge.net/p/gphoto/support-requests/152/

Sorry if I misunderstand myself. I'm not sure how to explain it.
I used the following instructions from darktable tutorial and "nearly" all went well.
    1. env LANG=C gphoto2 --auto-detect
    2. env LANG=C gphoto2 --port usb: --abilities
    3. env LANG=C gphoto2 --port usb: --capture-image-and-download
    4. env LANG=C gphoto2 --port usb: --capture-tethered
Now, it also went well including step 4, but what's the problem that darktable does not find my camera for importing pictures directly?
Is it a problem of 2.? This one produces following as per encl. screenshot and i don't know if

capture options ability supports „Image“ an configuration support are marked with „yes“

    or how to change it.

This time I hope to have presented my problem clearly.

    Thanks in advance

    Thomas

This looks all good. The abilities are what they are supposed to be, (Image, Preview and Trigger Capture)

Is darktable detecting the camera at all? is it detecting it with the correct name?

First of all thanks for your checking.
No, darktable is not detecting my Nikon D5000 and to re-check it i tried it with my Nikon Coolpix with the same result. I could but did it not until now try it with a DJI Osmo Pocket.
