2.0beta1 Released!

After nearly a year of work, the gPhoto team is proud to announce the first beta release of gPhoto 2.0.
<br>
gPhoto 2.0 is a complete redesign and rethinking of the original gPhoto. This new release introduces a digital camera library API that allows any application to provide support for digital camera interaction. It includes support for serial-port and USB cameras, with the ability to easily support other physical connection types.
<br>
gPhoto 2.0 comes with a powerful command-line interface, but if you prefer a graphical interface, you have several to choose from, including native ones for both GNOME and KDE!
<br>
Support is in place for Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, OS/2, and other Un*x variants. gPhoto 2.0 is extremely portable, allowing a single camera driver to be used on any platform that gPhoto supports!
