gPhoto2 under heavy development

gPhoto2, the next version of gPhoto, is under heavy development and will be in alpha soon. This next version allows any front-end to have access to digital cameras. gPhoto2 is also extremely portable. Ports to Linux, *BSD, Solaris, and OS/2 are already functional, with other platforms in the queue.
