#475 errors with Sony DSC-W510 (PTP mode)

Hi .
i got error when "gphoto2 --capture-image-and-download" is executed and same results for some other commands with Sony DSC-W510 , + the cam shut OFF when some cmds is executed , and i have to power ON again :

Sorry, your camera does not support generic capture
ERROR: Could not capture image.
ERROR: Could not capture.
*** Error (-6: 'Unsupported operation') ***

This mean the camera doesn't support the operation, camera capture in your case. The camera being a Sony make this unsurprising: they don't support capture.

(check if it has a "PC Control" mode in its camera USB Settings... but this is unlikely, only the Alpha series have remote control
