Canon Powershot S1 IS, PTP, gphoto2 - 2.4.1-1 for mipsel on Asus WL-500w wireless router. Interval capture always fails after some time, sooner or later. I'm doing 30 seconds interval capture, sometimes it fails after few pictures, sometimes after several hours, maximum so far was about 800 pics. What actually happens is few latest JPG files contain zeros instead of picture and finally gphoto crashes with this message:

ERROR: Could not capture.
*** Error (-10: 'Timeout reading from or writing to the port') ***

After that camera freezes and must be powered off. My original suspicion was camera failure due to overheating or something, but I've tested it connected to PC with Canon SW and it made 1500 pics without problem.

Trying to attach zipped debug file. Sorry, it's huge, but I don't know what may be important.

Thanks,
David

Can't attach the debug file, probably too big. I can upload it somewhere.

this does not sound gphoto related bug, but more hardware related.

if you have the beginning and the end of the logfile it would also help to review.

I've attached the log, to shorten it I deleted picture data from it. Instead of picture data I've put following text in the log:

    !!!DAVID: GOOD PICTURE HERE!!!
    or
    !!!DAVID: WRONG PICTURE HERE!!!

...so that you can search through easily. I agree it may be hardware related bug, but I must say I have never had another problem about USB with this device. I use two USB flash discs with it (first contains ext3 partition for programs plus swap, second fat32 partition for pictures), they both work like a charm, not a single disc problem.

I would really appreciate if you can check the log and find what's wrong.

    Thanks,
    David
