Having problems with a Samsung YP-K3 MP3 player in Fedora 9 (64-bit).
If device is plugged in and cold boot, device mounts, although receive the following error in /var/log/messages >
kernel: gvfsd-gphoto2[18352]: segfault at 10 ip 3f3c4088aa sp 7fff606061f0 error 4 in libpthread-2.8.so[3f3c400000+16000]
If unmount the device, or warm boot, receive DBus timeout by message bus error, and virtually every time the device does not mount.
Output of gphoto2 debug file after remount attempt is attached.
Hence, the only reliable way to access the device is after a cold boot, although the same segfault always appears in the log files.
Suggestions?

a backtrace would be nice.
additionaly, try using libgphoto2 2.4.1 which received some bugfixes regarding MTP devices.

I have taken the plunge and upgraded my Fedora 9 to include the rawhide pre-release files, that includes libgphoto2 2.4.1.
However, yesterday my Samsung YP-K3 totally died, so I have to return and get a replacement next week. Then I will test with the newer version.
Meanwhile, how do I do a backtrace. Sorry, not something I have ever done, so I will need some guidance.

also on a side note, gvfsd-gphoto2 is NOT written by us.
please try with the gphoto2 command line tool.

I have run the following command >
gphoto2 --auto-detect -a --summary
and attached file gphoto2_Samsung_summary.txt
Since the mount problems are the same even after the upgrade, should submit a bug for gvfsd-gphoto2? If so, to whom/where will I submit?
Thanks
File Added: gphoto2_Samsung_summary.txt
will test once I have installed openSUSE 11.1 beta with the working gvfsd-gphoto stuff
