NOTE: My cam is a 'Hawking 1.3 MegPix / Hawkeye DC1300' but gPhoto recognizes it as Aiptek 1.3 mega PocketCam. I checked the Aiptek site and it appears to be the same cam with a different name. It can be confusing to a newbie.

BUG #1: gPhoto connects to it and can download pics but can not clear them from the camera. I have to boot Windohs and use the original Windohs software to clear the camera's contents from memory :-(

Bug #2: gPhoto does not allow me to configure the cam in anyway (in the system peripherals area) though i am not certain that there should be anything there to configure.

Bug #3: gPhoto does not allow realtime viewing of the cam (as a live webcam) which i could always do under Windohs. Stting it up us USB PTP Class Cam cam without success.

The cam does not show up in /dev or /mnt

OS Info: PCLinuxOS 2007 with KDE 3.5.7

PSi am pretty new to Linux and this my first bug report, so I'm sorry if i am giving you unnecessary info or if I have failed to give you any other info that you require.

    in the spca50x driver.

How did you try to delete images? with gphoto2 -D it will just delete the ones
in the current directory (/) and there are usually none. Use gphoto2 -D -R to clear all.

I tried to delete them with digiKam and flphoto which, as i understand it, are bundled with gPhoto2 or work with it ...(?)

Anyway, i opened a terminal window and typed "gphoto2 -D -R" and that did clear the pics from the cam - thanks for the tip.
