When I try to generate a User-ID, (either when I start
program for first time or when I want to manually
generate keypair.
When I start program and try generate User-ID, it asks
me for Forename & Surname; Email address, Comment
(optional). Then it asks for the passphrase with
confirmation (which I tried many combinations more or
less complicated); and then it generates the key, but
finally it writes Failed to generate key! Then when I
click on "Done", it starts the User-ID generation from
beginning. Only way to continue to program - is to
cancel the User-ID generation.

If I cancel the User-ID generation, I can make a keyrule
with "encrypt" checked (I also tried "encrypt & sign"). I
can make an alias; assign email address to the keyrule
(previously created in keyrules for my recipient).

When I send email using my email to the recipient for
which I have keyrule "sign" (and I have imported that
recipients' key) - in the log I see:

SMTP
Decision Hint: Sender <aaa@aa.aa> unknown
Decision Hint: Recipient matched by Alias
<bbb@bb.bb> -> [bbb@bb.bb]
Decision Hint: Using profile: "bbb@bb.bb"
Decision Hint: We don't have secret key of sender -
Can't sign outgoing!
Decision Hint: Nothing, simple Pass-Through
Send mail
From: "AAA AAA" <aaa@aa.aa>
To: <bbb@bb.bb>
Subject: test

SMTP done.

Probably it writes "sender unknown" and "We don't
have secret key of sender - Can't sign outgoing!"
because it really can't create a User-ID (main kaypair).

Is there any way to create a User-ID (a secret sender's
key)?
Or maybe there is a way to import such key from
previously created key?

PS. (I have tried PGP Desktop, WinPT - there creation
of keys/keypairs is done well, but it still doesn't work
well with Outlook Express. WinPT crashes all the time
and it can't decrypt nothing. PGP Desktop probably
could work well, but it has short using time-trial, and it
disallow using of ICQ or other messengers)

    Hi!

That's strange, creating a new keypair (which is secret and
puplic part) from within GPGrelay is working fine for me
    (GPGrelay 0.959 and GnuPG1.4.1).

Which versions of GPGrelay and GnuPG do you use?
What's the exact phrasing of the "failed"-message?
Did you use some exotic key-parameters? Do the default-
    parameters work?

f anything fails you simply can use WinPT, or even GnuPG
    itself to create the keypair.

Of course, without a secret (sub)key you can't sign and you
    also can't decrypt anything :)

    Bye!

I have tried the default values and the other values (RSA,
shorter key). Then it doesn't write "Failed to generate key" -
instead it writes success. BUT it still begins from the
beginning - the User-ID creation. And it still writes log
message "We don't have secret key of sender - Can't sign
    outgoing!"
If I create the secret-public keypair with WinPT, there is
probably no way to import such keypair into GPGRelay - I
can only import public key from clipboard. But how can I
import secret key (as I understand - it can not be copied into
    clipboard anyway)?
I would be thankful for any help, any suggestions or any
propositions of maybe other programs to use with Outlook
    Express.

    One more thing:
When PGPRelay starts, it says "GPGRelay needs at least
    GnuPG Version 1.4.1!"
But I have installed the gnupg-w32cli-1.4.1.exe file from
    www.gnupg.org
I tried to reinstall it, but the result is the same.
GPGRelay is of version 0.959 (win32), running on Windows
    XP Pro.

If you open the "About GPGrelay..."-Menu what version of
    GnuPG is shown there?
