On Windows XP the installation program creates
start menu shortcuts for the installing account. This
is wrong! The shortcuts should be created in the ?All
Users? profile.
More information:
On my Windows XP home edition box I usually work
from an account that just belongs to the "Users"
group. In order to install software I temporary
switch to an account with administrator rights. If an
installation program creates the shortcuts just for
the installing account, then they are just visible from
that account. That is from my regular "User" right
account I do not see any start menu entries for
GPGrelay. Moreover, using NTFS, I can not even
browse in the file system for the shortcuts.
