In June of 2005 a paranoid Motion Picture production
company forced the creator of DVD Decryptor to take his
site down. No matter that the code was Open source and part
of Gnutella and no matter that the majority of users used
the code to back up their favorite DVD's. Oh no, there was
the possibility that someone might use the software to
    create a pirate copy.
    See: http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/6501.cfm
DVD Decrypter was bought out by Macromedia Europe which
itself was bought out by Adobe Systems who does not offer
any product like that for the public.
The best thing to do would be to find someone who might
have a copy of the setup pgm or to download a copy of
bittorrent and search the net for a pirate copy of same -
    you might also try eBay.

DVD Decrypter is no longer available courtesy of the MPAA and their paranoid delusions that people would use it to make pirate copies of movies. Now we all know how silly that is.
You can try eBay or try using Limewire or similar software to search for it online, but the manufacturer has not produced the software for at least two years since they were threatened with mamouth lawsuits.
    To reiterate:

DVD Decrypter is no longer "free software". It has been "sold" to Macrovision...

Lightning UK! removed it [DVD_Decrypter] from the market several years at the suggestion (not so mild) of the MPAA. It was one of those "Remove it or we sue your ass off" suggestions. Perhaps if you contacted the author.
