Hi Martin. I work with Bill. We get a few warnings but they are mostly to do with stuf= f that has been moved about in the project files in VS2005 - like the strong name attributes etc. we also made a couple of changes to support nullable types, at least on SQL server, that we would be happy to share. Personally, as a user of Gentle, a dozen of times at least - I would love to have had a quite complete showcase app, showing gentle's more advanced features (sql builder, more complicated queries,...). I could scrape some knowledge of the test cases, but not enough. I hear there is some kind of karma calculator, but so far I have never seen it but would love to make its acquaintance. -- Jan http://www.limpens.com |

Aye. I agree 100%. Morten, is the complete list of current Gentle Bugs and Tasks in a system somewhere where the community can see them and start working on them? My advice would be to get the bare minimum of tasks together into a "Fasttrack 2.0" project to get it done and out the door. Then perhaps distribute those tasks amongst the community's volunteers. I would say that these tasks should probably encompass nothing more than a) fixes to bugs and b) any refactoring that is not going to be viable as a point release later. After 2.x is out the door, and we have a stable version to base everything off of, the other tasks we've talked about (documentation, marketing, Accelerators) can be discussed. If Morten can pull together a list, then we should possibly have a "kick off" IRC chat, as Morten mentioned, and then those of us who do have time and the inclination to contribute here and there can just jump in and get to work. But getting the full list of concise tasks, in a trackable and assignable way, is going to be the key. D -----Original Message----- From: gopf-devel-bounces@...
