No

For us, Linux Users, we perfer to install software by a .deb, or a better way, by a repository!
Googsystray could be included in Googles repository (or even, in a PPA on launchpad for Ubuntu users (Ubuntu cause it`s the most popular linux distro)
This would make it MUCH easier for us!

Another thing...just to comment. Since Jaunty (9.04) Ubuntu has introduced a new system of notification. Don`t know why (cause I`m not using googsystray yet), but, you can make it use pynotify by default, so it will use the system notification system!
Thanks for your attention!

Agreed on the repository. I use Archlinux myself, I really don't know the details of any other packaging systems. I've been sort of waiting for the 1.0 release to bother attempting anything but straight-up source packages, though.

I'll look into pynotify. Haven't played with that yet.
