#900 General functionality questions

A couple of years ago I worked with some sync apps, and even worked on building my own. I had a lot of trouble with Google Contacts saying a contact had been "updated" (the update date was new), when the only activity was an email to/from that contact. Has that been fixed or is it still a problem? If it's still a problem, does GCSM have a workaround for it? (Does the new People API fix this?)

I have a Gsuite/work account, and a personal Gmail account (don't use outlook). I only care to sync my work contacts between the two. Can GCSM be set to only sync certain contacts that have a "Work" label on them (or any similar filtering solution)? Or does it have to sync "all" google contacts for my accounts?

(I have read up on the site trying to answer my own questions, but haven't found the answers. Please be gentle! And please do point me to the right documentation if it exists. Thanks!)

Also, when I try to install and run GCSM, it takes a long time to open, then throws an alert.
Can I not use it to sync between google accounts (only)? is it a requirement to connect Outlook? I no longer use outlook.

Hi, GCSM can only sync between Outlook and Google. Of course, you can setup a second profile with different Google Credentials, and then switch the profile to sync one Google account with another one, but you have to use Outlook in between.
