When trying to sync Outlook 2007 to Google I get lots of contacts with either the message:
Outlook contacts matching with multiple Google contacts have been found (either same email, Mobile, FullName or company) and cannot be synchronized. Please delete or resolve duplicates of: <list>
Outlook contact found that has been already identified as duplicate Google contact (either same email, Mobile or FullName) and cannot be synchronized. Please delete or resolve duplicates of: <list>
I think this message is ambiguous, or at least confusing.
Does this mean that a _single_ Outlook contact matches two or more Google contacts?
Am I supposed to fix the Google contact(s), or the Outlook contact, or both?
Are the contacts listed Google contacts, or Outlook contacts?
What if they are not really duplicates, for example they are multiple people from a company that uses generic departmental e-mail addresses (e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org)? Or departmental phone numbers?
There seems to be some functionality missing here - or at least the system is very difficult to use in my situation...
