There is one inconvenience concerning “Short name” of e-mail. Outlook has such field but G-mail not. When Outlook contact updated from G-mail, this “Short name” become erased and replaced by standard Outlook form which is “First_Name Middle_name Surname (e-mail@address)”. Could you please make following for update Outlook contact from G-mail: when e-mail already exists in Outlook copy its Outlook “Short name” to the updated information? So, Outlook contact will preserve “Short name” for existing records.

I checked it and the problem ist that Outlook is automatically resetting the Short name of an email, if the Email is changed. But I implemented the following: sync the short name from Outlook to Google label and as long as the email address is not changing, it will not update the Outlook email address and therefore also not the shortname. You can test it with the attached Beta.

Please to exit GCSM running instance, copy the unzipped file to the
GCSM installation folder, then start GCSM again. You can verify that it is
the new versionby checking the window title of GCSM settings form, should
    show 3.5.18-Beta.

Do you have also a smart phone syncing with Google contacts? If yes which one and is it still working if you use the 3.5.18-Beta (because I replaced the Work/Private/Other label now by the Short name from Outlook, might cause some inconsistency with Android phones)

I am sorry, but I didn`t receive attachment. Maybe g-mail filtered it. Could you set the password on the zip-archive (something like “12345”), so Google will not be able to open it and thus let it be delivered?
Yes, I have android (v.4.0.4) phone (Motorola RAZR Maxx), so, I will check it with phone also.

Perfectly! It’s work! You are the best! :-)
I add from Google Contacts new info to one contact (in the field “Comments”) and add third e-mail to the same contact. When I synchronise, all existing data remain unchanged and added info appears as it should. After correction of Short name for third e-mail in Outlook new label appears in the Google Contacts.
In the phone contact also updated and new labels appears for all 3 e-mails.
Thank you a lot! And, of course, I just donate to your project. Thank you once again!
