-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello! Downloaded gomf from sourceforge - it seemed to be targeted for the i386 architecture so I gave it a try on my 486:s. It did almost accept my i486. But the kernel is compiled for using the Pentium TSC feture - and stops. There is a known bug in the Linux kernels used for OpenMosix, or rather in the kernels menuconfig: Always run "make oldconfig" after doing a menuconfig (if changing the processor type from lets say 686 to 386) and the TSC option will be corrected. If this is not done, a i386 or i486 kernel wont work because the TSC option is stuck and its code put into the kernel. I wont register to this list for now. Please send me a mail telling me if gomf will be corrected - recompiled without the need of TSC or if it is intended to be only for i686 or such.
