In sparse, and fairly stable, configurations most of
the changes are cycles of length 2. The next most
frequent ones are gliders. I want to be able to
find/ focus on the other changes.

A) I would like to be able to display (as toggle) only
those areas where there is no cycle 2 behaviour.
All other areas would appear empty.

B) Sometimes, I might similarly also like to ignore
(temporarily) all gliders. Ignoring them only
until they arrived "near" other cells would be
a bonus.

It seems that (A) would be cheap to implement. If so,
it would be great.

P.S. Needless to say, I have been blown away to see
Golly which I found yesterday for the first time.
I have run several simulations, involving
10**7 - 10**8 cells each -- incredible! :-)

P.P.S. I saw this "display active only" idea in a
Palm Pilot implementation of Life, where it
was described as "Show working"!
