Windows 10 has a "scale and layout" setting (Settings -> Display -> Scale and layout). On my Acer Swift 3 laptop, Windows 10 recommends the "scale and layout" setting 150%, due to the small size of the laptop screen. When I start running Golly, the initial Golly window uses the 150% setting, but when Golly starts running, it switches suddenly to the 100% setting. I can avoid this problem by leaving the "scale and layout" setting at 100%, but the image is difficult to view at this setting. Is it possible to make Golly respect the Windows 10 "scale and layout" setting?
We can't reproduce this problem so it might be due to a bug in your graphics card's driver software (we've seen a few problems caused by buggy NVIDIA cards). Try these steps:
and set Golly to "High performance".
