And it comes up with Emacs because it is so customizable so people change it. vim is seldom customized if I look around at vim users I know. 1. Not all editors can handle tabs properly. 2. Not all display engines (html for example) allow tab width to be settable. Therefore, no tabs means exactly the same layout as you see on the screen in all occassions. Groetjes, Berend. (-: |
