Category: None Group: None >Status: Closed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Screenshots for wikipedia/commons? Initial Comment: Hi, I created recently an entry on GNUSim8085 on de.wikipedia (German): http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/GNUSim8085) This is probably also the reason for the wealth of new feature requests and bug reports you guys have been seeing during the last couple of weeks: looking at the sourceforge stats, the download numbers and webpage hits have increased a lot since I added a link to GNUSim8085 to the German Intel8085 article. This is mostly because this processor is still used rather heavily in Germany during computer science and engineering courses, so there really is strong demand for a free simulator here, too! However, it would be good if someone could upload some nice screenshots of the simulator to wiki commons with an explicit license statement, so that I can easily and legally use these on the German article. Thanks for this neat free piece of software! All the best from Germany to India! PS: I am sorry for all the tracker items that got apparently posted as a consequence of this little marketing campaign, I guess that's how an increase in the number of users also causes new management challenges ;-) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Sridhar Ratnakumar (nearfar) Date: 2009-12-24 13:16 Message: I will close this thread now (and look into why we are not getting notification emails). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2009-07-12 20:20 Message: Interestingly, that new German article on GNUSim8085 seems much more comprehensive than the English or Indian ones? What is it about? Does it provide any other info that is not mentioned in the other articles? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Onkar Shinde (onkarshinde) Date: 2009-07-08 04:10 Message: Hi. There seems to be some problem with sourceforge trackers. The developers have not received any mails regarding the latest tracker items. As to your request for screenshot, please feel free to pickup the only screenshot from 'Screenshots' section. Consider it licensed under CC-BY-SA. If anyone asks about license point to this thread. There is also a screenshot of Windows port. For now you can pick it up at - http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/sEw404dL6VDDw5oqeIngnA?feat=directlink License is again CC-BY-SA. I will try to transfer this screenshot to 'Screeshots' section ASAP. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Aanjhan (aanjhan) Date: 2009-07-08 03:54 Message: Thanks a lot for the marketing campaign. Appreciate it. There seems to have some changes with SF and we have not been getting any kinda notifications for this. And the devels were busy with random things the past few months. We will definitely look into the requests and get some things moving asap. Thank you again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=579700&aid=2656830&group_id=86462 |
