I am drawing several plots like this:
set pm3d map
set size square
set terminal png
Where XX is sequence number. Output are png files.
I would like to have the images of same size and to have the plots (map area)
same size as well, with exact position inside the image? In other words, I
would like to put the images into a sequence and create kind of animation. For
that I need the map to of the same size and on the same position in each
Thanks for any hints,

Then you shouldn't have used 'set size square'. That makes the shape of
the graph area dependent on the ratio of axis ranges.
You may want to use 'set lmargin' & friends instead, which fix the
relation between the "paper" size and that of the graph.
