Hi,

"set style increment" is not recognized in my environment.
Is the statement obsolete?

gnuplot> set style increment userstyle
                   ^
         unexpected or unrecognized token

My environment is Mac OS X (Mavericks), and

Deprecating syntax is recognized in 5.0 only if you choose to do

    ./configure --enable-backwards-compatibility

    Oh, I see.

In the "help" manual, I found it had been deprecated.

    gnuplot> ? set style increment
`Note`: This command has been deprecated.
                                    ^^^^^^^^^^^

    Thanks!

The program should print a warning when there is deprecated syntax. We can add that for 5.0.rc2

Although the command remains deprecated, -rc2 will recognize it so that older scripts do not break. However, future bug reports against this command, if there are any, will be given low priority at best.
