Read the test.py and demo.py files in the gnuplot.py package.

So:

gnuplot> plot "test" using 1:2, "test" using 1:3

gnuplot> set log x
>>> g.plot(thefile1,thefile2)
gnuplot> plot "test" using 1:2, "test" using 1:3

Which gives the required graph if you now make thefile3, ....
Alternatively you can read the file in once, and make arrays of every
column, then plot the arrays.
