I had some difficulty making gnuplot work on my system- Windows with python 233. I was finally able to get it to work but only by going back to gnuplot373w32. Not a big problem, but it should be documented.

Just to update the OPs report ...
I just installed gnuplot.py 1.7 under Python 2.4 with gnuplot 4.0, and its working fine so far.
Comment: It wd be nice to be able to point to pgnuplot.exe in a config file rather than changing gp_win32.py.
