Hello,

I have a little question/problem. I have existing IDL
program (it runs without any problems) which uses
CONTOUR. All the arrays are 2-dimensional. If I try to
run the same program with GDL it complains about that
the arrays are not compatible.

With Regards,
Jan-Willem

What is the exact command you are using and what are the
    dimensions of the input files?

You can find the info about the arrays in the file plottest.
The command I used is just 'contour z,x,y'. If I try to make
a contour plot of the array c using the command 'contour
c,a,b' is works without any problem. By the way contour
plotting of all 2 dimensional arrays works in IDL. I think
    you allready know this.

Today (2 March 2006) I downloaded the new GDL version
(0.8.12) from CVS. I noticed that this version has updated
the CONTOUR function. It now supports 2 dimensional arrays
(thus a(i,j)) as input. Perfect. Hopefully in the future,
the CONTOUR function will support /FILL parameter.

    With regards,
    Jan-Willem
