Perfect? No, not really. The video can be nitpicked, as this is width at speed, not depth. It's as complete as you'd want in a 2 hour sitting. I'll wager that Derek has programmed more COBOL in the small, than in the large (like me).
He has all-in videos for quite a few topics, but send the COBOL link to your gran, and get her hooked on business programming. ;-)
I'm pretty sure this video was made around the same time as the New Jersey COBOL based pogey systems are drowning phase of the early pandemic. The actual COBOL batch jobs were mostly sitting around waiting for the modern bits up front, from what I've been led to believe, but anyway, it was activity generating hype for a while.
