Yes, that's a packaging issue, so mainly something the homebrew people would handle. Once GCC and at least GMP is available in homebrew for M1 you could build it on your own, too.
As GnuCOBOL works fine on ARM since years I see no reason for it to not work, but I'd definitely suggest to run 'make checkall' on the first builds to ensure that this actually is correct.
So does anyone know if there are any plans for a Mac M1 build of GNUcobol thats installable using homebrew?
