#981 Test 843 fails on Aarch64 when configuring with --enable-hardening

No

When I built the version 3.2 on an Aarch64 machine on a Linux
operating system with GCC 8 or newer (I tried, 8, 13 and 14) and
configure it with options --enable-hardening --enable-static=no, the
test 843 (runtime check: write to internal storage) fails with "runmisc
call bounds exceptions."

I originally found this problem on openSUSE Tumbleweed and openSUSE Leap
but I can also easily reproduce it on GCC Compile Farm Project[1]
machine gcc185 running "rhel centos fedora" 8.10.

I'm attaching compressed file tests/testsuite.log.

This is preventing me from submitting the new version to openSUSE
Tumbleweed distribution.

Thanks for dealing with the problem.

this is "expected" - please see the mailing list https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-gnucobol/2024-08/msg00001.html for some details on that and what to possibly do about that
