#39 Execute new mail command only once

This feature request was sent by Richard G Riley by mail:

I am using your excellent Gnubiff to alert me with sound and a pop up to new IMAP email.

I have one enhancement request:

When polling multiple servers, do not run the "new mail" command for each server or each email - have an option to stop this.

e.g if server1 and server2 both get new emails I get 2 audio alerts - one would be enough.

Or is this already possible? Possibly a "limit command period" option could be added which would stop the command being run for X seconds.
If it's 0 then carry on as before.
