#49 tray icon tranparency and resizing
Basically, (1) transparency in tray icons doesn't work and (2) some notification trays (e.g., stalonetray) distort the tray icon in unpleasant ways if the icon's size doesn't match the tray's size.
There is an Ubuntu bug report about the transparency issue (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnubiff/+bug/252526) and since I've seen nothing about it here, I'm not sure it made it upstream. The Ubuntu bug report claims that gnubiff is using the "deprecated EggTrayIcon and not GtkStatusIcon"--which I suspect is the cause of both problems.
