Hello-

It would be great to be able to install Packs while offline (i.e. internet access is not required). The environment I work in does not have internet access.

If this is already supported, could the installation instructions be updated to reflect the correct procedure (similar to the install instructions for the Plugins). I had tried to "install" Packs that had been downloaded from a separate online installation by copying the content from the .../Packages directory, but this did not work.

Otherwise, what an amazing collection of functionality - nice job!!!

Isn't there a way to drop the .pack and .pdsc files into a folder and then add an index.xml (?) file referencing the pack(s) and then use that folder as a local pack "repository"? (Not sure if my terminology is correct here!). I tried that with with (I think) the first version of the CMSIS Pack support in GNU ARM Eclipse and was able to "download" a pack from the local folder. Sorry I don't have any further specific details right now but if I can find my experimental setup again I'll post more.

ah, sure, you can do this, after bringing all .pack and .pdsc files together with the index in a folder, just use a local url in the preferences page to point to the folder.

however this mechanism is a bit tedious, and somehow error prone, but is should be possible to make it functional.
