mbed.org has an exporter to ARM GCC toolchain, the idea is to have the hability to import it to gnuarmeclipse for compiling and the debugging.
thank you for the suggestion, I have no experience with the format used by the mbed.org exporter, but I guess it is worth taking a look.
Thank you for attending it, for ARM GCC the exporter just create a makefile with the correct startup code and the right Defines for the uC target. They also have exporters for others IDE like keil CoIDE . I set up a project template on eclipse thanks to your plugin for the STMF4 Discovery board, which is not officially supported by mbed, but ther is a port in their github, i also have it for ST Nucleo F401RE, i attached the project if you can take a look a it, one thing i couldn't make it work is semihosting.
I took a quick look, there are a lot of files there.
From what I understand, the problem would be to write an mbed.org exporter to generate Eclipse managed projects for the GNU ARM Eclipse plug-ins.
We'll keep this item open, I'm currently busy with other plug-ins. It might be easier if you could find some mbed.org contributor willing to write the exporter...
As an alternative, you should be able to use the unmanaged project (with makefile) directly with GNU ARM Eclipse.
