Files with individual build settings are not tagged in the project explorer, There is no way to identify them. I think I have seen that they are tagged in an older release. Otherwise treat this report as a feature request.

Environment:

GNU ARM C/C++ Development Support 0.5.3.201007072245 org.eclipse.cdt.cross.arm.gnu.feature.group
Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers 1.3.0.20100617-0520 epp.package.cpp

    In 3.5.2 they are tagged. I'll forward this to CDT team.

    I installed Helios and I cannot reproduce the bug, I changed the Optimization level on a single c++ source file and the icon changed, a wrench was added.

    Can you be more specific?

    I'll check it again on Monday when I'm back at work. Have a nice weekend.

    Checked it under Linux with Helios - works as expected. Have to try it again on my XP box at work.

    The bug only triggers for manually added build configurations. It's also happens with native projects, so it's not related to the ARM plugin but to CDT.

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Create a new project, add a file file1.c
    2. Add a new build configuration e.g. "Test": Project->Build Configurations->Manage->New
    3. In the project explorer right click file1.c and setup individual build settings for file1.c, e.g. set optimization to -O3
    4. Notice that the icon of file1.c isn't tagged with the little wrench that indicates build settings different from the project settings.

    thank you for the details.

    I confirm them on Helios.

    On Galileo the behaviour is different.

    I'll further investigate, and eventually post a bug on the CDT bugzilla.

    I confirm it on Kepler 4.3 too.

    on Kepler SR2 the problem seems fixed, changing settings for source files and folders adds the wrench to their icons.
