Medical goes Beta

I'm happy to announce that today we have released the beta version of Medical.

Medical is a free health and Hospital Information System. Our goal is to have a system that will be able to improve the lives of people, specially of the underprivileged. We focus on family and preventive medicine, using the latest industry standards.

Medical has been awarded Sourceforge PoTM, and has been nominated for project of the year.

With over 20000 downloads in this period, Medical represents a solid alternative to propietary health information systems.

Medical is part of GNU Solidario (http://www.gnusolidario.org/en), an NGO that provides health and education to emerging economies.

My gratitude goes to all the physicians, biochemists, social workers, pharmacists, anthropologists, health centers, and all of you around the globe who have contribute to make Medical the free universal Health and Hospital Information System.
