gv Postscript and PDF viewer / News: Recent posts

gv has been officially dubbed by rms to be a prt part of the GNU project and will be migrating to Savannah in the near future.

gv, the venerable postscript and PDF viewer that provides a nice user interface to Ghostscript, is now being hosted on Sourceforge. Version 3.5.8 was released in 1997. A new version, 3.6, is in development. No new features are currently planned, but 3.6 will provide a GNU autoconf/automake build environment and continued bug fixes.
