The only way to fix this problem is to have Apple opensource all of macosx and then have people work on a x86 port en then have developers port there apps.
The missing files are all the proprietary frameworks that make up MacOSX (cocoa, carbon, coreaudio, quicktime, java, coreservices, coremidi, parts of corefoundation and more)
But then, why not try MacOSX ? Not to mention that mac apps are built for a powerpc architecture, so they would not run on any x86 version of anything.
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Do OS/X applications run on Darwin?
For example, if I install Darwin-x86, will I be able to install OS/X apps like Dreamweaver or IMovie?
Thanks in advance,
B.
The short answer is no.
Darwin is the open source part of OSX and OSX applications link to proprietary libraries not included in Darwin.
How do we fix this problem ?
Are there any methods to copy acrros the missing files ?
Does anyone know what the missing files are ?
