The one step installer is for mac os x it says. It looks like it installs a bunch of stuff onto the disk that is being used for mac os x. At least some of the files already exist.
Does installing darwin with the one step installer allow me to dual boot between darwin and mac os x? If so, how if it's writing all the files onto the mac os x disk. If not, is it going to break things in mac os x, or conflict with Fink?
If I try to install the BSD ports archive, is this going to conflict with any of the above?

One step is for OS X users. To make a dual boot system, you need to make a CDR from our image file.

With respect to OS X, nothing is broken, but there is no way for us to promise anything about the Fink.
One step installs most of what is required to use the ports system. Be sure to check the port system instructions.
