After over one month of developing (well okay... mostly sleeping) the version 1.2 of GNotify can be released.
See the ChangeLog for new changes, hope you like it.

GNotify 1.1 has just been released.

The GTK Notification Service GNotify 1.0 has been released!
Main changes are the new stabillity of GNotify and many more features. Also the GNotify Library has been rewritten completely and is now available in version 1.0!

The GNotify 1.0 and GnotifyLib 1.0 Beta-Testing has just started and needs Beta-Testers. If you want to take part of the Beta-Testing of GNotify 1.0 and/or GNotifyLib 1.0 please send an e-mail to devilx (at) users.sourceforge.net or join #gnotify @ irc.gimp.net.

The GTK-Notification Service GNotify 0.9 has just been released. A lot of new protocol-commands have been added and also there are new (but still experimental) functions like the client forking. For more information take a look at the ChangeLog.

The re-done version of the X-Chat JoinNotify Plugin has just been released. The new version has a GTK-Configuration dialog and more notification-options.

The new GNotify 0.8 has just been released. Changes are some critical bug-fixes with the threading/forking of the gtk-function and many new commands. Take a look at the changelog for more information.

Because of some errors with the libxml2 headers this revision of 0.7 has been released. If 0.7 works it's fine, else try this package.

The new GNotify 0.7 has just been released!
Main changes are bug fixes in some commands and the gtk-forking. Beside, there are two new commands for moving the notification-window.

GNoitfy 0.6 and GNotify-Lib 0.6 had just been released! The new packages are both fixed, so that you can install it now by "make install". Besides this, GNotify now has new functions like GTK-Forking/-Threading which provides a simultaneous access to the GTK-Notification-Function without waiting for the termination of one gtk-notify-function-call. Also now it's possible for clients to get the daemon's version so that they know which commands are existing and which are not.

The GNotify-Library 0.5 has been released. There are some important return-value changes in it which are needed since GNotify 0.5.

The GNotify 0.5 Source-Package is damaged, it is not possible to do a "make install". The following release (0.6) will be fixed.

GNotify 0.5 has been released. It contains some bugfixes and a some other changes.
The GNotify-Lib 0.5 release will follow soon...

Version 0.4 of the GNotify-Lib has just two changes, the first is a variable return value for the message-function and the second is a new set_button function for displaying a button on the notify.

The new GNotify 0.4 has just been released. Now it's possible to add a button to the Notify and get a return-value if the User clicked it. Also I've fixed some bugs of 0.3.

Version 0.2 of the X-Chat Plugin for GNotify has been released! It provides a channel-selector, sothat you will be only notified if someone joins a selected channel.

GNotify 0.3 and the GNotify-Lib 0.3 have just been released.
Some functions had been fixed in 0.3 and a new soundplay-function was added. For more information take a look at the ChangeLogs of GNotify/GNotify-Lib.

The first plugin which uses the GNotify-Service is now available. It's a little X-Chat-Plugin which Notifies you on Channel-Joins. It should work with X-Chat 2.0.x and higher.
