Gnono development resumed

Gnono development has been restarted on Sourceforge with a new maintainer and a new beta release.

Gnono is a rewrite for GNOME, under the GPL license, of the Windows card game WUNO. The objective of this classic game is to discard all of one's cards before the opponent does, by matching the value or color of the top discard (or playing a wild card).

The current focus is porting Gnono to GNOME 2. This has already been accomplished, and most Glib and GTK+ deprecated functions have been migrated, but work is still needed wrt deprecated Libgnome/BonoboUI APIs.

Version 1.9.0 has just been released featuring a working GNOME 2 version. Functionality has barely changed from the old GNOME 1.4 version; some patches are forthcoming, and contributions are welcome via the bug tracker.

We're using CVS, bug tracker, and mailing list for development.
