I saw that someone else had requested highlighting and underlining in an earlier ticket that had been closed with verse annotation being cited as the same. I would ask that this be reconsidered. It is important that one can underline and highlight words, phrases and verses of studied text. I would also request that it be performed on the selected text instead of the current verse, as this tends to be more intuitive.

I would very much like to see this feature as well.
I second this request. I've just installed the program and I have immediately noticed this as a lacking feature. Currently I'm using the Personal Commentary module however, quick annotations are rather nice for selected texts. Also custom highlighting colors and such would be rather useful to organize the text when doing things like inductive Bible study.
